In 2014 Marc won for Best Sports News Reporter for his coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He worked solidly for the duration of the 5-week tournament, across the different time zones flawlessly.
In 2015 Marc received an Excellence Award from Minister Fikile Mbalula. The award recognises those who contribute to the world of sport on a daily basis.
