Barack Obama scraps US surveillance systems on Arabs and Muslims

The move comes after Donald Trump said he would introduce a registry to closely monitor immigrants in the US.

United States president, Barack Obama, is dismantling the country's surveillance on Muslims and Arabs in a move that would make it difficult to discriminate against immigrants.

The National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (Nseers) was introduced after the tragic 9/11 terror attack.

702's Bruce Whitfield spoke to US correspondent, Harley Carnes, regarding the issue and other developing stories.
