Sassa CEO disputes Bathabile Dlamini's version of events
Sassa CEO Thokozani Magwaza says Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini has lied about the role she played in the social grants payment crisis.
Despite being late, Dlamini filed an affidavit to the court on Friday, explaining why she shouldn’t be held personally liable for the crisis, reports EWN's Gia Nicolaides.
Nicolaides says Dlamini has placed a large portion of the blame on Sassa officials, particularly Magwaza himself.
Bathabile Dlamini basically says that she wasn't aware of the extent of the difficulties that Sassa was going through at the time, that she was only informed very late.

Magwaza has since written to the Constitutional Court asking for permission to file his own affidavit to counter Dlamini's claims.
He's essentially saying that she's lying about some of the facts in her affidavit... That it's not completely accurate.
