#CapeStorm: How you can help

How you can help and where to donate in the wake of #CapeStorm.

After months of no rain, the Mother City experienced a deluge of severe weather conditions, from gusting winds of up to 100km's, wave swells and flooding in certain parts.

Here is a list of things you can do to help those affected:

OperationSA and the Al-Imdaad Foundation have launched an urgent appeal for funds to assist victims of the devastating storms.

What you can do?

Donate warm clothing

Towels

Toiletries

Nappies and baby bottles

Donate blankets

Join the Buy a Bed campaign run by the Haven Night Shelter

Donate old furniture

Donate building materials so that those that have lost their homes can rebuild

If you do come acrosss a person without shelter call 107.

The Islamic Relief South Africa has also launched an emergency appeal to assist communities affected by the Cape Storm. All in-kind donations can be dropped off at the Islamic Relief Cape Town office, 396 Imam Haron Road, Lansdowne.
