SA needs to be less restrictive with visas to boost tourism
Tourism is one of the biggest job creators and economic drivers in the country. In order to get the most of this, South Africa needs to have less restrictive visas.
This is according to Paul Bannister, Board member at Wesgro. He says the current visa has lost us tens of thousands of visitors, because of confusion. Another factor, according to Bannister, hindering tourism is the difficulty to transfer into other countries from South Africa.
Tourist don't strangely relate to geo political entities. They come here, they want to do Cape Town, Garden Route, The Kruger and Vic Falls. They don't even know, or care if it's in another country.

We've got to shift to a uni-visa situation that lets that mobility occur for our tourists.
