Genevieve Jones, a CapeTalk listener and SA expat in Chicago chats to Sara-Jayne King about the extreme cold they are experiencing.
She says it has been freezing cold, with a snowstorm with -30 degrees Celcius.
She says schools have been closed for two days, for the first time in that school district in Chicago.
