Makondo says the five suspects includes the pupil featured in the video circulating on social media who can be heard saying that nothing will happen to him because his father is a police officer.

No one is above the law.

Makondo says the incident took place at the Flora Park dam outside the school premises.

It is quite a concern and a matter which we need to work together as a society.

Sam Makondo, Spokesperson - Limpopo MEC of Education

Alone as a department it is not a matter we can succeed. Parents need to check in the mornings what is in the school bags.

Sam Makondo, Spokesperson - Limpopo MEC of Education

The department is discouraging the carrying of dangerous weapons to school but are these things discouraged in the communities?
