[LISTEN] The benefits of meditation in schools
Wellbeing in Schools and Education (W.I.S.E ) co-founder Carol Surya says mindfulness and yoga are useful in educaion because of the demands of learning, as well as the social and emotional interaction that goes on through the day.
She says some of the benefits include focus, compassion amongst each other and better memory.
Surya describes some of the activities that can be used to practice mindfulness.
Friday was International Day Yoga.
