Help Kids Haven raise R92,000 for Christmas lunch
Kids Haven in Benoni is pleading for assistance in raising funds for their #7colours Christmas Campaign.
The centre is a residential care centre for vulnerable children in Benoni.
They have had a very complicated year because of lockdown, but they have come through and they have been involved in food relief initiatives since April.
The centre is not only feeding the kids in the home but also ensuring that between 350 and 580 families and youth receive substantial food parcels every month.
We speak to Kids Haven CEO Sam Mokgopha about the campaign.
We want to ensure that the kids remaining at the centre on Christmas have enough food to eat.
Sam Mokgopha, CEO - Kids Haven
We want to raise R92,000 because it costs around R55 a plate. Members of the public can go our website and donate so that the kids can have a plate on Christmas.
