Even Beira situated in the North, has THREE modes of public transport!
The host of Africa Connected, Lee Kasumba is in Beira, Mozambique before she heads out to Nigeria on the last leg of her travels.
She shares some of what she has experienced in the city, including its various modes of transport.
In Beira, I was really surprised. The way people travel around seems to be by three main modes. Municipal buses, tuk tuk's and boda boda's are used quite efficiently. A boda boda is basically a motorbike with on passenger.Lee Kasumba, host of Africa Connected
Another thing that is a key differentiator between Beira and Maputo for example is that in Maputo you can get away with speaking English, in Beira, if you want to be able to do business efficiently and trade here you either have to be able to speak Portuguese or have someone who is able to translate for you.Lee Kasumba, host of Africa Connected
