Music - Satellite 79 launch new album

Pop Rock band Satellite 79 released their latest album ‘Into The Sun’ towards the end of last year – the same core group - but with a new singer and drummer.
The band has been around for many years, with the core group, Kevin Botha on bass and harmonica and Alec Leicher on guitars.
Johannesburg-born and raised, Kevin has also collaborated with the likes of Ed Jordan, Vicky Sampson, and  Mango Groove, co-writing some of their big hits.
He's been writing music since university, but his first big success was a song called Roadblock that he wrote for township artist, Mafika, winning his first gold record in 1987.
Kevin also teaches history at high school and joins us on the line.
