EWN reported that Stats South Africa said that it had remained unchanged from March and that the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.6% month-on-month. The main contributors to the inflation rate were food and non-alcoholic beverages, transport, housing and utilities. 

The South African Reserve Bank is set to announce the latest interests’ rates later today and experts are saying that it's most likely to increase by 50 basis points this week.

PPS published the results of its 2021 Graduate Professional Index (GPI) survey that drew 3,264 responses from professionals in different industries, such as healthcare, financial services, legal and engineering indicating that they're not confident in their future in the country.
