Africa's first gay and inclusive rugby club, Jozi Cats, has been touring South Africa's major cities spreading the message that homophobia has no place in sport.
Jozi Cats vice chairman, Anthony Seger, says as part of #GayRugbyTour 2016 they hosted Rugby Clinic events for LGBTIQ communities across the country, to inspire them to start their own safe and harassment free gay rugby clubs.
Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town and Stellenbosch are among communities toured by Jozi cats.
The reception in urban areas, the welcome has been warm. But in rural communities, townships and small towns there has been a lot of backlash, funny looks and comments.— Anthony Seger, Jozi Cats vice chairman
