‘...They are of the strong view that these former liberation movements in terms of their strength in government must be reduced’

South Africa's Minister of Energy David Mahlobo joins Bongani Bingwa in studio to comment about his report back about policy decisions at the ANC’s National Conference

Mahlobo says that the conference has been incident free although there were countless delays. He adds that they’re are challenges South Africa faces like the increase in crime.

They’re also issues that we’re dealing with like corruption and certain situations arising globally says Mahlobo. Mahlobo says that the situation in Libya has resulted in an EU meeting around modern day slavery, he adds that they also reflected on the transitional outcome in Zimbabwe.

We are stable compared to other countries in the world.

David Mahlobo, South Africa's Minister of Energy

Mahlobo says that the phenomenon of colour revolution is a terminology used by those in the revolutionary movement. He adds that it occurs when there’s an interference by state or non-state parties that influence certain governments to advance their narrow interests.

Our former colonisers and imperialists, they are of the strong view that these former liberation movements in terms of their strength in government must be reduced.

David Mahlobo, South Africa's Minister of Energy

Mahlobo says that they push their narrative using platforms like social media, so the views of the people can be influenced. He adds that colour revolution is a world phenomenon. They're certain states which have interfered in the affairs of other countries says Mahlobo.

You can see that other countries have been destroyed.
