What in the world happened to Eddie Eksteen?

Many 702Landers know Eddie Eckstein as the drummer for the rock-band "The Bats". Others may know him as a stand-up comedian or from his appearances on various shows such as Biltong and Pot-roast and Telly Fun Quiz.

Most of his time is devoted to his love of music - and the band he performs in. The Bats celebrate 50 years in the music business this year and after a tour in the Cape, they'll be returning to MonteCasino for gigs in the New Year.

Questioned about the misdirected rumours about his health on social media a few months ago, Eddie was quick to let his fans know that he is fine and well... or "fat and fit", as he calls it.

I'm on a 50 year diet boet. I'm living proof that the banting thing doesn't work!
